Brain Healthy Foods

We have all heard the term “heart-healthy foods” but have you heard of “brain-healthy foods”? These foods help to improve our brain function.

In this series, we will not only explore those foods but each week on Friday we will post new brain-healthy recipes.

  • Brain Octane Oil (MCT oil) *Go slowly, start with a teaspoon at a time. Watch for stomach gurgling or nausea. If you feel either, eating a handful of cashews will help.

  • Good (Healthy) Fats: Coconut Oil, Lard, Bacon Fat, Organic Pasture-Fed Butter, Ghee, Palm Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil, Rendered Animal Fats, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Walnut Oil, Fish Oil, Krill Oil, Bone Marrown, MCT Oil, Almond Milk (no sugar), Cocoa Butter, Avocados, Coconut, Coconut Milk (Native Forest Brand), Olives, Nut Oils, Nut Butters and Nuts

  • Purified or Mineral Water

  • Nutrient-Dense Foods: Wild Caught Salmon, Kale, Seaweed, Garlic, Shellfish, Sweet Potatoes, Liver, Sardines, Blueberries, Eggs, Dark Chocolate, and Grass-Fed Beef
